Responsibilities
- Build and protect Back Market's reputation across Spain and Germany, turning our circular economy mission into earned conversations that drive business results
- Develop annual comms strategy for SP/DACH, aligning corporate moments, product launches, and cultural storytelling with measurable business outcomes
- Manage media relationships with reporters and editors shaping conversations in tech, sustainability, business, and culture
- Build and manage an earned influencer community of 5-15 active advocates who genuinely love what we're doing
- Manage agency performance across both markets
- Provide executive counsel and media prep for country managers and marketing leadership
- Lead crisis comms planning and real-time response when things get spicy
- Develop corporate narratives: funding, expansion, policy, thought leadership
- Lead consumer storytelling: product moments, brand trust, cultural relevance
- Drive influencer activation: community building, seeding programs, organic advocacy
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, brand activism, partnerships, and sustainability teams
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years leading integrated comms programs for European audiences, or equivalent hands-on communications leadership experience
- Fluent English + fluent Spanish OR German
- Track record managing PR agencies in European markets and holding them to high standards
- Proven success with earned influencer programs that create genuine engagement
- Experience translating complex topics into compelling consumer narratives
- Direct relationships with journalists who shape national conversations
- Comfort with ambiguity, fast pace, and wearing multiple hats
