BEUMER Group is hiring a Commissioning Engineer III to ensure software and automation systems are correctly implemented and validated within production environments for the Airport Division. This role bridges technical development and operational deployment, requiring independent decision-making and strong technical expertise.
What You'll Do
- Analyze, review, and assess system requirements and acceptance criteria for commissioning readiness.
- Lead and contribute to commissioning plans, defining goals, timelines, and dependencies.
- Configure and verify IT System and PLC environments, including hardware, software, and network components.
- Develop, refine, and implement commissioning procedures and validation steps.
- Prepare and manage configuration data, operational parameters, and input datasets for system validation.
- Create detailed commissioning schedules, lead execution, evaluate system behavior, and document issues.
- Review commissioning procedures and outcomes with developers, engineers, and stakeholders.
- Participate in the full software & automation lifecycle from development to handover.
- Support quality improvement initiatives by identifying commissioning-related issues.
- Provide guidance and technical mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
- Stay current with technological advancements and best practices in software commissioning and automation.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in automation engineering, system commissioning, or related roles.
- Demonstrated experience supporting complex automation systems and large-scale projects.
- Demonstrated experience leading commissioning activities and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to obtain the required airside security badge issued by the Airport and/or the TSA.
- Ability to travel between 50-75% based on business needs.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in team leadership, technical mentorship, or project coordination.
- Experience working within cross-cultural or international teams.
- Siemens TIA Portal PLC programming and development certifications.
- Certifications in IT Engineering or related technical disciplines.
