The Commissioning Engineer is responsible for bringing automated storage solutions to life at customer sites across the United States and Canada. This role involves commissioning, configuring, and integrating fully automated warehouse systems, including pallet shuttles, tote shuttles, mobile robots, and related equipment.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the setup, configuration, interfacing, and sometimes, the integration of the complete automated warehouse system
- Interface with Warehouse Control Systems and integrate them into the customer’s IT systems
- Responsible for the complete commissioning process (preparation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, Go Live, reporting and signoff)
- Responsible for PLC software configuration and live testing
- Work on electrical, mechanical, PLCs configuration, communication protocols, sensors & instrumentation, and safety devices
- Work at a variety of customer sites, including cold storage facilities and at heights (walking in a rack at different levels, but always with the appropriate safety gear/measures)
- Act as a commissioning expert, supporting on-site and remote troubleshooting during commissioning, go-live, and when assisting Service Engineers during aftersales interventions
- Create and deliver comprehensive reports and technical procedures upon project completion
- Identify and solve technical challenges, providing recommendations for system optimization
- Train the integrators, customer’s maintenance and operative staff
- Share technical expertise with team members and participate in continuous training and skill development
- Identify and report commercial Service opportunities at current clients to management

Work Arrangement

- Flexible work schedule: possibility to work Friday to Tuesday with Wednesdays and Thursdays off
- Flexibility required for at least the next 6 months; after that, it may be reassessed
- Must be able to travel to various customer locations across the U.S. and Canada
