Responsibilities
- Evaluate high-complexity asset-based lending deals based on size, structure, borrower setup, or collateral composition.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of collateral categories and associated risks during monitoring and liquidation scenarios.
- Assess credit proposals with focus on due diligence, including analysis of past financials, forecasts, collateral behavior, recovery expectations, leadership capability, industry trends, competitive landscape, and risk factors.
- Maintain underwriting quality aligned with internal guidelines, Loan Review feedback, regulatory standards, and credit approval benchmarks.
- Achieve or surpass annual volume targets for credit approval memorandums.
- Deliver precise and thorough credit analysis efficiently in a demanding, high-volume setting while managing multiple deadlines and client-driven timelines.
- Collaborate closely with Relationship Managers and Treasury Management colleagues.
- Support business development by engaging with Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, third-party evaluators, and Credit Officers to foster teamwork and shared accountability.
- Offer expert credit guidance through a consultative method, assist in loan structuring, and apply knowledge of institutional policies, risk frameworks, and analytical standards; clearly convey risks, inquiries, and alternatives to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Provide reliable internal customer support and adapt to new procedures, systems, and technologies as introduced.
- Strengthen expertise in assigned market segments and portfolios by using internal and external information sources and specialist insights.
- Assign accurate asset quality ratings in accordance with defined policy criteria.
- Coordinate regularly with Portfolio Managers to oversee credit exposure, analyze performance trends, manage defaults and delinquencies, track expiring notes, confirm receipt of financial data, evaluate covenant compliance, and review Borrowing Base Certificate reports and related documentation.
