Responsibilities
- Forecast overall manpower based on project demands and individual and crew skill sets, prioritizing key clients, projects, and resources while understanding financial and schedule implications of correct manpower levels.
- Set unit pay scales based on skill sets, and implement and manage a craft training and development plan to advance individuals in their careers.
- Lead and manage the Commercial General Superintendent, Flatwork Superintendent, Commercial Layout Manager, and Project Management Team.
- Ensure commercial unit employees embrace core values, jobsite safety, complete daily huddle forms, manage daily and task-specific PPE, and complete monthly toolbox safety trainings.
- Oversee project and office personnel to ensure work conforms to contract requirements, document all change orders, and capture costs.
- Work with Superintendents and Project Management team to develop and track man-hour productivity goals for each project.
- Engage and lead company and client personnel in project planning to ensure safe and efficient concrete and pump access, adequate hoisting, concrete washout, lane closures, and overall site logistics.
- Work with General Superintendent and Project Managers to utilize and execute the project pre-planning matrix to ensure preparedness for each project.
- Ensure Foremen complete inspections on all company equipment and vehicles.
- Implement, train, and teach Foremen to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the field while minimizing overtime.
- Work closely with the preconstruction unit to review estimates for key pursuits, ensuring correct productions, equipment, suppliers, and materials are included for proper execution.
- Lead weekly project reviews to ensure each project meets its financial and executional standards.
- Work with the layout manager to ensure consistent layout standards across projects, up-to-date and maintained equipment, completed as-builts, and timely and accurate layout to keep projects moving.

Compensation
$120,000 - $145,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus and profit sharing

- Travel: May be expected to travel out of town to work on projects.
- Hours: Usually irregular hours, often early mornings and some weekends. Generally longer hours in summer.
- Work Environment: Works in all weather conditions such as noise, wet, cold, hot, dirt, wind, and dusty conditions.
- Physical Requirements: Regularly required to reach with hands and arms, stand, talk, hear, walk, use hands and fingers, handle material and operate tools and equipment. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required: near vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
