Responsibilities
- Oversee assigned projects and learning programs as directed by the Senior Manager of Commercial Learning
- Work closely with Commercial Management to ensure training efforts support overall sales strategy and strategic priorities
- Evaluate sales team knowledge and skill levels; design targeted programs to close competency gaps
- Partner with teams across Global Commercial Learning, Salesforce Effectiveness, ISI Business School, HR, Talent Development, and Clinical Product Education to align and standardize training processes
- Lead new product launch training initiatives, including curriculum development, cross-functional coordination, and train-the-trainer delivery
- Instruct trainers on company Standard Operating Procedures and training methodologies
- Provide mentorship and coaching to Commercial Learning Trainers and Senior Trainers on effective training practices
- Develop deep expertise in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative management of the da Vinci® Surgical System
- Maintain advanced certification in da Vinci® Surgical Systems, Instruments and Accessories, and Advanced Technology platforms
- Train commercial staff to educate customers on da Vinci® Instruments and Accessories
- Train commercial staff to support customers using da Vinci® Advanced Technology
- Deliver training on da Vinci® 5, da Vinci® Xi, da Vinci® X, and da Vinci® SP Surgical Systems for customer-facing teams
- Teach commercial employees the technical value propositions of the da Vinci® platform
- Lead technical train-the-trainer programs for Global Commercial Learning colleagues
- Evaluate participants' technical proficiency during training sessions
- Achieve subject matter expertise in key surgical specialties including general, colorectal, gynecologic, thoracic, urology, and cardiac surgery
- Maintain expert-level certification in da Vinci surgical procedure education
- Deliver clinical procedure training to commercial staff as part of sales enablement initiatives
- Communicate the clinical value propositions of the da Vinci® system to commercial teams
- Lead clinical train-the-trainer programs for Global Commercial Learning peers
- Assess clinical competency of training participants
- Deliver presentations and workshops on the ISI Clinical Sales Process and Capital Sales Process to new and current employees
- Utilize diverse training methods—including instructor-led, self-paced, remote learning, video, and audio formats—to enhance content effectiveness
- Evaluate sales competency of training participants
- Conduct regular field visits with sales teams to identify training needs and provide on-the-job coaching and feedback

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in adult learning, training delivery, or sales enablement
- Strong knowledge of surgical technologies and procedures preferred
- Experience working in a medical device or healthcare environment
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skills
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed
- Certification in da Vinci Surgical Systems or willingness to obtain
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in education, life sciences, or healthcare
- Experience with train-the-trainer models
- Familiarity with CRM systems and learning management platforms
- Track record of improving sales performance through training
