Responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, and refine secure cloud infrastructure to strengthen monitoring and address security events from SIEM and related systems.
- Respond to client inquiries, participate in client discussions, and produce supporting documentation such as network layouts, architectural blueprints, and data flow charts.
- Analyze and resolve security alerts promptly as part of the Level-2 Security Operations team.
- Collaborate with the Security Operations team to improve detection, alerting, and reporting across the organization's attack surface.
- Offer expert advice on protecting SaaS platforms, covering identity management, data encryption, API protection, and secure configuration standards.
- Oversee firewall evaluations, access audits, system assessments, and risk analysis processes.
- Lead compliance projects to ensure cloud systems meet standards such as GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001, CMMC, and CSA STAR.
- Perform security evaluations and identify gaps in current controls and practices.
- Serve as a technical security advisor, clearly explaining complex topics to both technical and business audiences.
- Deliver presentations, join client sessions, and foster long-term client relationships.
- Assist in incident response by analyzing cloud-related security breaches and recommending corrective actions.
- Direct the development of Incident Response Plans and produce clear procedures for organizational use.
- Stay current with evolving cloud security risks, tools, and industry best practices through ongoing research.
