Responsibilities
- Operate and improve Kubernetes-based infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, maintaining production workload health and performance.
- Modernize authorization and authentication services to improve scalability and security.
- Implement and maintain deployment pipelines using tools like Ansible, focusing on consistency, automation, and reproducibility.
- Design inter-service communication patterns to ensure resilience of the distributed system.
- Apply cloud security practices, including certificate management, access controls, and operational compliance.
- Build internal tooling and management capabilities for cloud components such as messaging systems and databases.
- Develop and maintain redundancy and high-availability strategies as the platform scales.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience operating Linux-based cloud infrastructure and containerized workloads in production.
- At least 2 years of practical Kubernetes experience in production, including networking, rollout management, troubleshooting, and service reliability.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform or AWS in production environments, ideally with GKE, IAM, VPC, Cloud DNS, Load Balancing, and observability tooling.
- Proven experience writing and maintaining infrastructure-as-code with Terraform or Ansible in production systems.
- Confident understanding of Linux, container networking, DNS, TLS, authentication and authorization concepts, and incident-oriented troubleshooting.
- Ability to take ownership of operational stability, rollout processes, and security-related infrastructure tasks.
- A valid full-time work permit for Germany.
