Responsibilities
- Set up, customize, and oversee Azure infrastructure elements such as virtual machines, storage systems, networking components, and identity management using Entra ID
- Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies with tools including Terraform and Bicep to enable consistent and scalable resource provisioning
- Create and update automation scripts to simplify recurring processes and maintain uniformity across Azure deployments
- Work with development and operations teams to embed automation within CI/CD workflows
- Monitor cloud resources for performance, uptime, and cost-efficiency, applying improvements to enhance system effectiveness and lower expenses
- Partner with cross-functional teams to diagnose and fix infrastructure issues
- Enforce and update security controls to protect cloud environments in line with industry standards and compliance requirements
- Take part in periodic security evaluations and support the refinement of security policies
- Coordinate with architects, software developers, and engineering staff to align technical implementations with project objectives
- Keep comprehensive records of cloud architecture setups, configurations, and operational procedures
- Keep current with new Azure capabilities, services, and recommended practices
- Seek out and complete relevant certifications and training programs to strengthen technical expertise
