Responsibilities
- Design and advance enterprise-level Azure Lakehouse architectures with focus on scalability, efficiency, and long-term viability.
- Drive migration from traditional data warehouse systems to modern Lakehouse and Delta Lake-centric solutions.
- Own architectural decisions end-to-end, from initial design through deployment and ongoing optimization.
- Establish and enforce architectural guidelines, standards, design patterns, and best practices for data platforms.
- Architect and supervise data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and real-time streaming using Azure Databricks, Data Factory, Event Hub, and Logic Apps.
- Develop and refine data processing workflows leveraging Delta Lake, Spark, Structured Streaming, SQL, and Python.
- Define and apply data modeling approaches across data lake and warehouse environments using Kimball, Inmon, and Data Vault techniques.
- Partner with engineering units to develop reference architectures, prototypes, and proof-of-concept implementations.
- Mentor and empower data engineering teams to deliver robust, independent solutions.
- Ensure all platform designs adhere to corporate security, data privacy, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Enable advanced analytics, self-service business intelligence, and reporting capabilities across departments.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, governance teams, and business units within agile project frameworks.
- Drive continuous enhancement of platform architecture, development workflows, and operational models.
