Responsibilities
- Oversee veterinary services delivered by the assigned team and maintain hospital infrastructure according to established company standards.
- Plan and carry out preventive health measures in coordination with production and veterinary staff, following company sanitation protocols.
- Conduct post-mortem examinations, collect required samples, and maintain all related equipment in proper working condition.
- Engage in animal welfare initiatives through close cooperation with production, welfare, and quality assurance teams.
- Supervise, guide, and train assigned team members to ensure adherence to veterinary, quality, and welfare standards, aligned with AAALAC and ISO requirements.
- Take an active role in employee training programs.
- Work with peers on assigned tasks or new initiatives led by the Senior Clinical Veterinarian.
- Submit accurate and timely records on non-human primate (NHP) care and movement to senior veterinary or animal welfare leadership as per company procedures.
- Ensure data integrity in reporting systems and animal management software.
- Lead or contribute to the creation of new projects and presentations when directed by management.
- Serve as a point of contact with government, client, and third-party agencies within the defined scope of responsibilities.
