UMass Memorial Health was looking for a Clinical Pharmacist, Advanced Therapeutics/Biologics, 32hr, Day

As a Clinical Pharmacist specializing in Advanced Therapeutics and Biologics, you will play a key role in enhancing patient outcomes through evidence-based medication management. Working Monday through Friday in a day shift, you’ll deliver comprehensive medication reviews, maintain accurate patient profiles, and support safe, effective use of complex therapies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive medication reviews with written summaries aligned to CMS standards
  • Develop personalized medication action plans and maintain up-to-date medication records
  • Monitor therapy for appropriate drug selection, dosing, duration, and potential interactions
  • Document interventions and progress notes in the electronic health record
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians involved in medication therapy management and care transitions
  • Ensure accurate preparation and dispensing of sterile, hazardous, and investigational compounds
  • Support regulatory compliance for controlled substances and accreditation standards
  • Participate in drug utilization evaluations and contribute to Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee reporting
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through therapeutic interchange and waste reduction
  • Precept pharmacy students and residents, contributing to academic training and professional development
  • Engage in continuing education and develop resources for healthcare teams and patients

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree or a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy with at least three years of hospital experience. Massachusetts licensure is required. A PGY1 residency is preferred, along with at least one year of hospital pharmacy experience for Pharm.D. holders.

Compensation & Benefits

The annual salary range is $96,220.80 to $173,180.80, with final offers based on experience and internal equity. A signing bonus may be available.
