About the Role
In this individual contributor role, you will drive growth within assigned private equity accounts by expanding consulting engagements across PE firms and their portfolio companies. You will manage the full sales lifecycle, from lead generation to deal closure and project extension, while serving as a trusted advisor. Leveraging deep knowledge of both the company’s offerings and the private equity landscape, you will identify and promote customized solutions that address critical business challenges, ensuring seamless client experiences and contributing to long-term account success.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives, including PE Managing Directors, Operating Partners, and C-suite leaders at portfolio companies.
- Create and execute a strategic engagement plan that identifies key stakeholders and outlines communication tactics to strengthen long-term client relationships.
- Collaborate with clients to position the company as a critical partner in achieving their strategic objectives.
- Design custom consulting engagements and consultant matches that align with client goals, emphasizing unique value delivery.
- Maintain and advance a strong pipeline of opportunities across all stages of the sales cycle, from initial lead to project close and expansion.
- Partner with Associates to align consultant expertise with project requirements, and directly support high-impact engagements by guiding consultant selection and preparation.
- Ensure consultants are fully equipped for scoping discussions and proposal development by clearly communicating client expectations and preferences.
- Oversee internal and external summaries of project progress to highlight delivered value and monitor performance.
- Foster strong collaboration with internal teams to ensure cohesive client support and service delivery.
Requirements
- Proven track record in building and maintaining client relationships.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation abilities.
- Strong motivation to help business leaders overcome complex challenges.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and high-pressure environment.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree such as an MBA is advantageous.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in professional services.
- Background in management consulting or experience working with private equity firms is a plus.
