CHC is seeking a Clerical Leader to ensure temple ordinances are kept pure, recorded accurately, and made available to members. In this role, you will assist temple management by serving patrons, supervising recording functions, and providing friendly, courteous service.
What You'll Do
- Handle difficult or non-routine questions and problems, verifying records as necessary.
- Monitor the temple recording function and address operational problems with the computer system.
- Provide direct supervision and assist with recruiting, interviewing, scheduling, and training of volunteers, volunteer supervisors, and clerical employees.
- Proof audit reports, ordinance lists, cards for the Family Name System, Temple Originated Records, and family group sheets.
- Ensure proper clerical, recording, and scheduling support is provided and that staff are properly trained.
- Supervise the input of lost or stolen recommend data and daily audits and corrections to the recording system.
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned and may review payroll time sheets for administrative staff.
What We're Looking For
- Two years of college and two years of experience with the temple computer system, Family History, or related fields, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to supervise, work well with people, and motivate and train others to be accurate.
- A pleasing personality and willingness to develop new ideas and recommendations for improvement.
- Flexibility in work schedule.
- Ability to properly handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Capability to acquire the knowledge and experience needed to answer questions and correct problems pertaining to the computerized recording system.
