Position Overview The semiconductor fabrication engineering division at Samsung Austin Semiconductor seeks a talented process engineer. This role involves collaborating with exceptional professionals, concentrating on establishing and maintaining world-class process and equipment standards, implementing yield optimization strategies, and demonstrating exceptional problem-solving capabilities. Role and Responsibilities Your primary duties will encompass: - Overseeing wafer production processes by addressing inline challenges and managing production wafer dispositions - Validating wafer fabrication methodologies on emerging equipment - Managing process qualification and equipment downtime scheduling with manufacturing teams - Utilizing analytical software to interpret data and recognize processing trends - Implementing parameter adjustments when processing thresholds are exceeded - Monitoring equipment performance following maintenance interventions - Executing inline process modifications - Presenting technical insights within departmental frameworks - Continuously updating Standard Operating Procedures - Developing enhanced processes to elevate operational capabilities Requisite Skills and Qualifications Ideal candidates possess: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering disciplines, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or Computer Science - Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, VBA - Strong statistical analysis understanding - Experience with Change Point Management and Lean methodologies - Structured problem-solving expertise - Proficiency in data analysis software - Equipment and process troubleshooting capabilities - Ability to wear clean room attire and personal protective equipment - Capability to work extended computer terminal hours in specialized environments On-site presence is mandatory. Visa sponsorship is not currently available. Compensation Range: $70,480 - $179,090, determined by individual qualifications and experience.
