About the Role
The tutor will work directly with students during classroom hours, providing targeted academic assistance and reinforcing lesson content through adaptive teaching strategies.
Responsibilities
- Deliver one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions during class time
- Assist students in understanding core subject matter across assigned disciplines
- Monitor individual student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with lead instructors to align tutoring with lesson plans
- Provide immediate feedback to students during practice exercises
- Identify knowledge gaps and develop targeted interventions
- Maintain accurate records of student participation and performance
- Encourage active learning and critical thinking in sessions
- Support classroom management by reinforcing routines and expectations
- Communicate student progress to supervising educators
- Prepare supplemental materials tailored to different learning styles
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
- Respond to student inquiries with clarity and patience
- Promote academic confidence through consistent encouragement
- Use formative assessments to guide instruction
- Integrate real-world examples to enhance understanding
- Adapt explanations based on student comprehension levels
