About the Role

This role involves applying civil engineering principles to water resources challenges in energy-related developments, including planning, modeling, and permitting activities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for energy infrastructure projects
  • Prepare engineering designs and construction documentation
  • Support environmental permitting and regulatory compliance efforts
  • Perform stormwater management planning and design
  • Develop watershed and drainage master plans
  • Use modeling software to simulate water flow and flood risks
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams
  • Review site plans for adherence to water resource standards
  • Evaluate impacts of energy projects on water systems
  • Assist in preparing technical reports and studies
  • Participate in field investigations and site assessments
  • Coordinate with public agencies on water-related approvals
  • Design erosion and sediment control measures
  • Support dam safety and levee evaluation projects
  • Apply federal, state, and local water regulations
  • Develop stormwater pollution prevention plans
  • Contribute to civil design aspects of energy facilities
  • Perform floodplain analysis and mapping
  • Assist with water supply and conveyance systems
  • Review project proposals for water resource feasibility
  • Utilize GIS and CAD tools for spatial analysis
  • Engage in client meetings and project coordination
  • Support emergency response planning for water incidents
  • Evaluate climate resilience in water infrastructure
  • Contribute to sustainable water management strategies

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Active Professional Engineer license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in engineering or related field
  • Experience with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, or similar modeling tools
  • Project experience in the energy sector
  • Additional state PE licenses
