About the Role
This role involves delivering civil engineering design and technical support for renewable energy developments, including solar and wind projects, from concept through construction.
Responsibilities
- Develop site layouts for renewable energy facilities
- Perform grading and stormwater management design
- Conduct civil design calculations and prepare technical reports
- Review construction plans and provide field support
- Coordinate with surveyors, environmental specialists, and other engineers
- Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations
- Support permitting efforts for energy projects
- Prepare construction documentation and bid packages
- Manage project timelines and deliverables
- Engage with clients and stakeholders during project development
- Utilize CAD and civil design software for modeling and drafting
- Conduct field observations during construction phases
- Address design changes and respond to contractor inquiries
- Integrate utility infrastructure into site plans
- Support due diligence for land acquisition
- Participate in project scoping and budget estimation
- Apply sustainable design principles to civil work
- Collaborate with electrical and structural engineers
- Review geotechnical reports and incorporate findings
- Assist in quality assurance and quality control processes
