Responsibilities
- Help create plan specifications, estimates, and document construction activities.
- Support AutoCAD Civil 3D drawing updates and incorporate redline changes into project sets.
- Operate electronic survey instruments including GPS and Total Station.
- Use software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and ArcGIS for various tasks.
- Potentially observe and collect data at different project sites.
- Assist with research, development, and design of projects.
Work Arrangement
On-site — Sioux Falls, SD
Other
- Spend time in the field working on outdoor construction phase activities.
- Work on a variety of in-office projects assisting engineers.
- Personalized internship based on area of interest.
- May include learning how to do roadway design, geometric layout, drainage analysis, and erosion control.
