About the Role
Lead and manage a kitchen section with responsibility for production, service, and hygiene standards while following established procedures and recipes.
Responsibilities
- Supervise a kitchen area, managing production, service, and cleanliness standards.
- Adhere to communicated procedures, techniques, and recipe instructions.
- Maintain proper storage, rotation, and labeling of food items, equipment, and dry goods.
- Collaborate with sous chefs to manage stock orders and deliveries effectively.
- Participate in training demi chefs, commis chefs, and apprentices to uphold standards.
- Contribute to creating and refining dishes for all outlets while maintaining quality.
- Engage in projects that advance kitchen operations.
- Explain services clearly to guests, visitors, and team members at all times.
- Address service requests from guests, employees, and visitors promptly.
- Assume additional duties when line manager or senior staff are absent.
- Perform assigned tasks, including working in different departments or restaurants as needed.
- Report and address potential and actual hazards immediately.
- Be knowledgeable about all departmental fire, emergency, and bomb procedures.
- Ensure safety of people and property by following laws and anticipating hazards.
- Promote health and safety awareness for all departmental tasks and activities.
