About the Role

Lead and manage a kitchen section with responsibility for production, service, and hygiene standards while following established procedures and recipes.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a kitchen area, managing production, service, and cleanliness standards.
  • Adhere to communicated procedures, techniques, and recipe instructions.
  • Maintain proper storage, rotation, and labeling of food items, equipment, and dry goods.
  • Collaborate with sous chefs to manage stock orders and deliveries effectively.
  • Participate in training demi chefs, commis chefs, and apprentices to uphold standards.
  • Contribute to creating and refining dishes for all outlets while maintaining quality.
  • Engage in projects that advance kitchen operations.
  • Explain services clearly to guests, visitors, and team members at all times.
  • Address service requests from guests, employees, and visitors promptly.
  • Assume additional duties when line manager or senior staff are absent.
  • Perform assigned tasks, including working in different departments or restaurants as needed.
  • Report and address potential and actual hazards immediately.
  • Be knowledgeable about all departmental fire, emergency, and bomb procedures.
  • Ensure safety of people and property by following laws and anticipating hazards.
  • Promote health and safety awareness for all departmental tasks and activities.
