Keywords Studios is seeking a Character Artist to join the development of an exciting, new AAA IP project. You will focus on creating high-quality realtime 3D assets, collaborating with the art and production team, and helping to guide external partners.
What You'll Do
- Create realtime 3D Character, Vehicle, and Environment assets.
- Work closely with the Lead Artist to meet or exceed the visual target.
- Preview, iterate, optimize, and polish assets within the game engine to meet quality and technical requirements.
- Actively participate in technical and aesthetic problem-solving discussions.
- Review assets from outsource teams and provide clear technical and aesthetic feedback.
- Provide guidance and assistance to outsourcing vendors.
- Maintain a consistent quality of work while staying on schedule.
- Help the production team with task breakdown, prioritization, and assignment among the art team.
- Maintain visibility of progress and identify areas of production needing assistance.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Character Artist on a shipped AAA or high-quality game project.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating character art fundamentals.
- Good anatomical and proportions knowledge.
- Proficiency in both organic and hard surface modelling.
- Ability to work from concept art.
- Proficiency with modern game engines like Unreal, Unity, or proprietary engines.
- Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and iterate quickly based on feedback.
- Relevant working rights for Malaysia or Indonesia.
