Responsibilities
- Evaluating patient conditions upon arrival
- Identifying signs of medical emergencies and health issues
- Conducting patient assessments
- Documenting vital signs and supporting diagnostic procedures
- Carrying out treatment plans as directed by veterinarians
- Providing fundamental animal care and nursing support
- Observing patient progress and delivering empathetic care
- Collecting blood samples
- Inserting intravenous catheters
- Supporting the acquisition of radiographic images
- Preparing specimens for external laboratory analysis
- Performing laboratory tests on-site
- Compounding prescribed medications
- Delivering medications as directed
- Contributing to a welcoming and well-maintained clinical environment
