About the Role
Deliver occupational therapy services remotely to clients, focusing on skill development and functional independence. Work under the supervision of an occupational therapist while maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual therapy sessions for clients of varying ages and abilities
- Implement treatment plans designed by supervising occupational therapists
- Monitor and document client progress consistently
- Communicate effectively with clients and caregivers in Spanish and English
- Adapt activities to meet individual client goals
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards
- Collaborate with therapy teams to adjust interventions as needed
- Participate in regular supervision meetings with licensed therapists
- Use digital tools to deliver and track therapy programs
- Support families in integrating therapy techniques at home
- Complete timely and accurate session notes
- Follow agency protocols for client onboarding and assessment
- Engage in professional development opportunities
- Respond to client needs with cultural sensitivity
- Assist in translating materials or discussions when necessary
- Ensure technology setup is functional for each session
- Uphold ethical standards in remote clinical practice
- Coordinate with school or home-based staff when applicable
- Maintain licensure and certification requirements
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives
