About the Role
This position involves providing occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist, with a focus on clients requiring bilingual support in Spanish and English. Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, documenting progress, and communicating with caregivers and team members.
Responsibilities
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions to clients in home and virtual settings
- Conduct therapy sessions in both Spanish and English as needed
- Follow individualized treatment plans developed by supervising therapists
- Monitor and document client progress consistently
- Communicate effectively with families and caregivers
- Maintain accurate and timely client records
- Collaborate with supervising occupational therapists on client goals
- Adapt activities to meet client-specific needs and abilities
- Support clients across pediatric and adult age groups
- Use telehealth platforms to conduct remote therapy sessions
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and licensing standards
- Participate in team meetings and case reviews
- Assist in updating client goals based on observed progress
- Provide feedback to supervising therapists on client response
- Maintain professional boundaries and ethical standards
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
- Respond to client and family inquiries promptly
- Coordinate scheduling with clients and team members
- Support transition planning for clients moving between care levels
Nice to Have
- Experience in pediatric occupational therapy
- Prior work in remote or telehealth therapy settings
- Additional training in sensory integration techniques
- Experience with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Familiarity with assistive technology devices
- Knowledge of early intervention programs
