Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy support to clients via telehealth platforms
- Conduct initial and ongoing client assessments remotely
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans under supervision
- Monitor client progress and adjust plans as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions
- Collaborate with supervising occupational therapists on client care
- Communicate effectively with clients and families in both Spanish and English
- Ensure adherence to ethical and professional standards
- Follow all regulatory and compliance requirements for telehealth services
- Use digital tools to deliver and track therapy interventions
- Support client engagement and motivation during virtual sessions
- Participate in team meetings and case reviews
- Respond to client needs with cultural sensitivity
- Maintain client confidentiality in all communications
- Stay current with best practices in occupational therapy and telehealth
- Assist in training or onboarding new support staff when needed
- Report any concerns about client safety or well-being promptly
- Adapt communication style to meet diverse client needs
- Use standardized assessments to measure functional outcomes
- Coordinate care with other healthcare providers as necessary
- Ensure equipment and technology are functional before sessions
- Troubleshoot minor technical issues with clients
- Promote independence in daily living activities through therapy
- Educate clients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques
- Follow infection control guidelines applicable to remote care
