About the Role
Provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist, with a focus on culturally responsive care for Spanish-speaking clients through remote platforms.
Responsibilities
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions as outlined in treatment plans
- Conduct therapy sessions via secure telehealth platforms
- Document client progress and session notes accurately and promptly
- Collaborate with supervising occupational therapists to adjust treatment plans
- Communicate effectively with clients and families in both Spanish and English
- Support client goal achievement through structured therapeutic activities
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards
- Participate in team meetings and case reviews
- Adapt materials for bilingual client needs
- Ensure continuity of care across sessions
- Monitor client response to therapeutic activities
- Report changes in client status to supervising therapist
- Assist in developing individualized client programs
- Promote client independence in daily living skills
- Use virtual tools to demonstrate exercises and techniques
- Engage clients in functional skill development remotely
- Maintain professional boundaries in virtual settings
- Follow infection control protocols during in-person visits if required
- Uphold ethical standards in all client interactions
- Stay current with occupational therapy best practices
- Complete documentation within established timeframes
- Support family education during virtual sessions
- Coordinate scheduling with clients and team members
- Troubleshoot technical issues during telehealth sessions
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives
