About the Role
This role leads the end-to-end capture process for major business opportunities, aligning technical, pricing, and proposal teams to position the organization competitively and increase win probability.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive capture strategies for high-value opportunities
- Identify and qualify potential business prospects in alignment with strategic growth goals
- Manage cross-functional teams throughout the capture lifecycle from pre-RFP through proposal submission
- Conduct competitive analysis to understand market positioning and differentiators
- Develop win strategies including teaming approaches, solution design, and value propositions
- Coordinate with business development and sales teams to ensure alignment on targets
- Oversee the creation of capture plans, including timelines, roles, and resource needs
- Facilitate customer engagement strategies to strengthen relationships and gather insights
- Ensure compliance with internal governance and stage-gate processes
- Track and report on key capture metrics and performance indicators
- Lead risk assessments and mitigation planning for proposed solutions
- Collaborate with legal and contracts teams on partnership agreements and teaming structures
- Guide pricing and solution development to meet customer requirements and competitive positioning
- Develop executive briefings and decision packages for leadership review
- Mentor junior staff and build organizational capture capabilities
- Ensure proposal strategies are aligned with overall capture objectives
- Drive internal readiness activities ahead of opportunity release
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of client priorities and industry trends
- Support post-submission debriefs and lessons learned initiatives
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement in business development processes
