Responsibilities
- Uses ERP software to address procurement demand and manage purchasing workflows
- Prepares and distributes Request for Quote (RFQ) documentation to potential suppliers
- Conducts price and delivery negotiations with vendors to secure favorable terms
- Selects suppliers based on capability, cost, and assessed risk factors
- Tracks purchase orders post-issuance and maintains accurate records in ERP, internal databases, and Microsoft Office reporting tools
- Accelerates order fulfillment when necessary, including occasional on-site visits to supplier facilities
- Coordinates off-site testing at vendor locations in collaboration with project management as needed
- Collaborates with quality assurance to verify order completeness and certification packages prior to authorizing shipment
- Ensures resolution of open tasks in the ERP system to support timely invoice processing by accounts payable
- Supports evaluation of new vendors for integration into the supply chain management system
- Submits weekly updates to the Purchasing Manager on current and upcoming procurement activities
- Participates in internal and external meetings with preparation and meaningful contributions
- Engages proactively in training sessions, workshops, and professional development events

- Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be necessary
- Primarily office-based work with potential travel to client offices, manufacturing sites, or industrial/construction locations
- Working conditions vary by site but generally align with the listed physical demands
- All new hires must complete New Employee Safety Training, including Safety Awareness components
- EH&S Technician oversees provision and tracking of all safety-related training
- Ongoing job-specific training modules are required as determined by management
- Employees must wear company-provided personal protective equipment (PPE) when required, including face coverings, safety footwear, glasses, face shields, flame-resistant clothing, cryogenic gloves and aprons, cut-resistant and safety gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and dust masks
- Non-compliance with safety protocols may lead to disciplinary action, up to and including termination
