Responsibilities
- Have revenue responsibilities in the assigned territory (West and North China)
- Be responsible for both strategic and tactical selling of the entire Eurofins Discovery service portfolio utilizing highly consultative and technical sales strategies
- Identify and build business relationships with new prospects as well as with new groups within existing accounts (sales calls, lead follow up, on-site seminars, trade shows, and user meetings)
- Effectively manage and support local third-party distributors in the territory
- Be technically competent and knowledgeable on the entire Eurofins Discovery service portfolio; ability to offer consultative solutions spanning multiple Eurofins Discovery platforms
- Communicate with management-level decision makers to structure new deals and build upon existing business relationships
- Competently present Eurofins Discovery services and scientific presentations at local conferences and online platforms in the local language
- Coordinate customer visits with Eurofins Discovery scientists, specialists, and local distributors
- Effectively adapt business development plans based on Eurofins Discovery strengths and needs unique to the territory
- Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within the assigned territory, including the use of Salesforce to maintain accurate records to maximize territory potential
- Ensure transactions and orders from customers and distributors to Client Services/Technical Scientific Support teams are accurate and complete
- Attend and participate in training meetings at least twice a month
- Maintain an accurate sales forecast, which must be updated weekly
- Perform other duties as required and assigned
Requirements
- Proven experience in strategic and tactical selling
- Experience selling scientific or technical services to industrial and academic institutions in the drug discovery industry
- Ability to build and manage relationships with new and existing clients
- Strong communication skills with management-level decision makers
- Technical competence across the full Eurofins Discovery service portfolio
- Proficiency in using Salesforce for sales tracking and record keeping
- Ability to maintain accurate sales forecasts with weekly updates
- Willingness to attend training meetings at least twice a month
Nice to Have
- Experience managing third-party distributors
- Experience presenting scientific content at conferences or online platforms in the local language
