Introduction: We're on the hunt for a sharp, detail-oriented Junior Business Analyst to power our IT investment and acquisition initiatives. In this role, you'll be translating complex business needs into clear system requirements and ensuring our IT services are perfectly aligned with our organizational goals. If you've got foundational experience in IT financial systems and a knack for stakeholder engagement, we want to talk. Note: This is a proposal-based position, so employment depends on contract award and funding. What You'll Be Doing: • Break down business and user needs into precise system requirement specifications • Provide strategic consultation on complex projects, always keeping business impact front and center • Conduct deep market research and track industry trends to identify prime procurement sources • Work closely with stakeholders to streamline acquisition activities and maintain rock-solid business alignment • Showcase expertise in federal acquisition platforms like NASA SEWP, GWACs, and SAM.gov • Contribute to IT portfolio and cost analysis, plus service delivery reporting • Support IT business process re-engineering and manage vendor/customer relationships • Help develop comprehensive IT strategy, policy, and investment analysis documentation Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Finance, or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience (Alternatively, 5+ years of experience can substitute for the degree) • Ability to dissect complex documents and communicate insights with crystal clarity • Proven experience with financial systems and acquisition-related processes • Exceptional analytical skills and the agility to juggle multiple priorities • Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, willing to pass a polygraph Location: 100% onsite in Washington, DC Preferred Experience: • IT Portfolio Analysis & Reporting • IT Cost Analysis • IT Service Management & Delivery • IT Strategy and Investment Support • Federal procurement and acquisition process expertise Applied Information Sciences is committed to creating an inclusive workplace.
