Responsibilities
- Lead the creative direction of the brand, crafting and evolving the visual brand identity and developing systems that ensure consistency across all visual elements, and ensuring it aligns with the company’s goals.
- Lead and mentor the brand design team, which currently consists of two graphic designers and a motion designer.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create impactful campaign assets and in-app experiences that align with our business goals and brand identity.
- Collaborate with the Head of Design (your manager) and the Product Design Leads to ensure consistency across all touch points, and elevate the Todoist Brand and Design.
- Contributing to and maintaining our shared design system and component library.
- Finding innovative solutions and leveraging emerging technologies, like AI, to empower the team to deliver high-quality work.
- Manage relationships with in-house talent and freelancers to expand our creative capabilities.
- Leverage data and user insights to continuously refine and improve our design solutions.
- Oversee design projects with clear communication and efficient project management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in team management and team member career development.
- 5+ years of experience in a senior-level brand/visual design role.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating your skills in various marketing channels and brand identity development.
- Experience establishing and maintaining AI workflows for asset production, templating, and iterating, without sacrificing brand quality.
- Contributing to and maintaining shared design systems and component libraries.
- Experience in measuring and improving design performance.
- Experience directing and collaborating with freelancers.
- Work well asynchronously, communicating clearly and proactively with folks from a wide variety of disciplines and nationalities.
Nice to Have
- Experience in B2B SaaS.
- Skills in illustration and animation.
- Experience with user research and conducting interviews.

As Brand Design Lead at Todoist, you’ll help shape and maintain the Todoist brand, ensuring its visual identity aligns with the company’s business objectives and resonates with its audience. In this role, you’ll lead the evolution of our brand with the rest of the design team, and collaborate across departments to ensure our visual communication is as powerful and effective as our products.
