Responsibilities
- Own Finch's website end-to-end—design and ship the homepage, solution pages, and landing pages, making conversion-focused decisions and sharpening brand storytelling alongside marketing, product design, and engineering.
- Lead paid advertising creative across paid social, display, and partner channels—concepting, producing, and iterating on ad creative directly with growth.
- Own and design high-quality brand assets across campaigns, web, sales materials, events, social, and internal storytelling.
- Define and evolve Finch's brand system, including core visual assets, guidelines, and reusable components.
- Build templates, libraries, and standards—and the AI-enabled workflows around them—that empower the marketing team to execute consistently and at a high level without you in the loop on every asset.
- Maintain a high bar for quality and consistency across every brand touchpoint.
- Balance speed, craft, and risk—knowing when to move fast, when to polish, and when to push into new creative territory.
- Bring systems thinking and strong judgment to layouts, concepts, and executions.
- Operate as a self-starter and self-checker, taking ownership of your work and continuously raising the bar.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, founders, sales, product, and external partners to ensure brand aligns with business goals.
- Translate a complex technical infrastructure product into clear, compelling visual stories that resonate far beyond a technical audience.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in brand design, visual design, or marketing-focused creative roles.
- Prior experience at a brand or design agency, ideally working with B2B SaaS or technology companies.
- A portfolio that demonstrates strong systems thinking, and execution across brand, web, and print.
- Excellent fundamentals in typography, layout, color, hierarchy, and composition.
- Proficiency in Figma, Webflow, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Deep experience designing for the web—real sites that drove real outcomes, with a clear point of view on hierarchy, storytelling, and how traffic flows into a page.
- Hands-on experience making paid ad creative that has run in market—you have opinions about what works on Meta, LinkedIn, and display, and why.
- AI fluency as a craft enhancer, not a crutch—you use AI to amplify your thinking and output without losing the foundational craft underneath, and you're excited to build a system that enables the rest of the marketing team to design with AI tools while holding the brand bar.
- Experience designing for marketing surfaces (websites, campaigns, decks, events, content).
- Ability to operate autonomously while collaborating effectively across teams.
- Comfort in high-velocity environments with evolving priorities.
- Interest in technology and complex products (prior API or data infrastructure experience encouraged but not required).
Nice to Have
- Have spent part of your career at a brand or design agency, working across multiple clients, industries, and mediums.
- Are ready to trade client rotations for deep ownership—building and evolving one brand end-to-end.
- Know how to move between strategy and execution, from brand systems and concepts to pixel-perfect delivery.
- Are comfortable operating as a team of one in design, while being closely embedded in a collaborative marketing team.
- Bring strong opinions, good taste, and the judgment to know when to move fast and when to sweat the details.
- Enjoy working across web, campaigns, print, events, decks, and motion, and want your work to show up everywhere.
- Are energized by ambiguity and excited to help define the system—not just follow it.
- Want to build a cohesive brand system instead of one-off assets.
