SRG Global is seeking a Blast Crew member for the Cowal project. This role is crucial for enabling productive operations through the expert handling of explosive materials and meticulous adherence to safety and operational guidelines. You will ensure the precise execution of drilling and blasting activities to facilitate extraction while minimizing environmental impact.
What You'll Do
- Support drill & blast operations to meet production targets safely
- Conduct blast hole QA checks and inspections
- Set up exclusion zones and signage for safe blasting
- Load blast holes with explosives and stemming material
- Assist the Shotfirer with charging and tie-in activities
- Perform pre- and post-blast inspections
- Follow all site-specific and statutory safety protocols
- Operate machinery and maintain equipment in safe condition
What We're Looking For
- C Class Drivers Licence (Manual)
- Security Clearance
- Ability to perform labouring duties
- Good communication and organisational skills, with an emphasis on teamwork
- Willingness to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol assessment
Nice to Have
- Heavy Rigid (HR) Drivers Licence
- Blasting User Explosive Licence
- Previous Blast Crew experience
- Being local to West Wyalong and surrounding areas
