Responsibilities
- Configure, calibrate, and run various auxiliary binding machines equipped with multiple cutting heads, control panels, or attachments such as inkjet units, mailing systems, case makers, folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, and binding or gluing devices
- Prepare and manage multi-functional automatic bindery equipment with several processing stations, including powered cutters, collators, gatherers, folders, and speed binders, which can be integrated electromechanically to form a complete finishing line for converting printed sheets into finished products like books, catalogs, manuals, directories, or magazines
- Operate the Perfect Bound Booklet Maker to produce finished booklets
- Conduct safety inspections on machinery and equipment to ensure compliance with operational safety standards
- Run automatic adhesive binding systems (perfect binders) that include multiple interconnected processing stages, processing collated sheets or signatures through steps such as vibration, milling, surface roughening, glue application, covering, and final stacking or delivery
- Perform necessary adjustments to synchronize and align multiple workstations within a single machine for optimal performance
- Lead and supervise production crew members throughout all phases of manufacturing operations
- Track and maintain standards for product quality, production volume, and operational efficiency
