Plain Concepts is hiring a Big Data Engineer to design and build custom data solutions for our clients. In this role, you will train, deploy, and implement novel developments, tackling unique challenges in data-powered software as part of a multidisciplinary team.

What You'll Do

Participate in the design and development of Data solutions for challenging projects.
Develop projects from scratch with minimal supervision and strong team collaboration.
Foster best practices, clean, and reusable code.
Develop ETLs using Spark with Python or Scala.
Work on cloud-based projects in Azure or AWS.
Build scalable data pipelines using a variety of technologies.

What We're Looking For

At least 3 years of experience in data engineering.
Strong experience with Python or Scala and Spark for processing large datasets.
Solid experience in Cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
Hands-on experience building data pipelines and implementing CI/CD.
Experience with testing (unit, integration, etc.).
Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
A strong team player mindset.

Nice to Have

Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or Fabric.
Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code).
Fluent English.
