Responsibilities
- Manage employee benefits data with precision and confidentiality
- Support open enrollment periods and special enrollment events
- Respond to employee questions about benefits offerings and coverage
- Collaborate with carriers and third-party administrators
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance standards
- Assist in preparing materials for new hire orientations and benefits communications
- Track and report on benefits utilization and participation metrics
- Process life status changes and updates in benefits systems
- Audit benefits records for accuracy and completeness
- Coordinate with HR and payroll teams to ensure alignment
- Help implement new benefits programs and enhancements
- Monitor vendor performance and service level agreements
- Support annual audit and compliance reporting requirements
- Troubleshoot benefits-related system issues
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA, ERISA, and other applicable regulations
- Prepare summaries and updates for leadership review
- Assist in benefits survey participation and benchmarking efforts
- Maintain benefits intranet content and employee resources
- Facilitate COBRA administration and compliance
- Support wellness program tracking and engagement initiatives
- Conduct quality checks on benefits communications
- Organize benefits-related documentation and files
- Participate in HRIS and benefits platform improvement projects
- Promote employee understanding through clear, accessible guidance
- Contribute to year-end benefits reporting and reconciliation
