About the Role
The role involves delivering one-on-one behavioral health coaching to individuals, helping them build resilience, manage stress, and improve emotional well-being using evidence-based techniques.
Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized coaching sessions to support mental and emotional health
- Guide clients in setting and achieving personal wellness goals
- Use active listening and empathy to understand client needs
- Teach coping strategies for stress, anxiety, and daily challenges
- Monitor client progress and adjust coaching plans as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions
- Collaborate with clients to develop actionable self-care routines
- Provide resources and tools tailored to individual circumstances
- Encourage accountability and consistent engagement in the coaching process
- Support clients in identifying triggers and managing emotional responses
- Promote long-term behavioral change through structured follow-ups
- Adapt communication style to suit diverse cultural and personal backgrounds
- Document session outcomes and client feedback securely
- Stay informed about mental health trends and coaching best practices
- Work within established protocols to ensure client safety
- Refer clients to clinical services when appropriate
- Foster a non-judgmental and supportive environment
- Help clients build confidence and self-awareness
- Address barriers to mental wellness in practical ways
- Engage in regular supervision and professional development
- Uphold program integrity and service quality standards
- Respond promptly to client communications and scheduling needs

Nice to Have
- Certification in life coaching or behavioral health coaching
- Experience delivering services in low-resource settings
- Training in cognitive behavioral techniques
- Previous work in public health or community outreach

- Supervisory experience in coaching teams
- Background in peer support programs
- Familiarity with mental health first aid concepts
- Additional language skills relevant to Congo regions
Compensation

Work Arrangement
