Responsibilities
- Identify and resolve live system defects and production issues in adherence to defined service level agreements.
- Examine logs, performance metrics, and trace data to determine the root cause of intricate technical problems.
- Create, test, and release reliable code fixes using Java and associated frameworks.
- Work with second-line operations, quality assurance, and feature development teams to assess and prioritize reported defects.
- Apply urgent fixes and patches to live environments following established change control procedures.
- Participate in post-incident reviews and help implement measures to prevent future outages.
- Keep detailed records of incident analyses, defect resolutions, and modifications to codebases.
- Track the operational health and performance of systems using monitoring and alerting tools.
- Help enhance the long-term reliability and ease of maintenance for backend services.
- Offer technical guidance and mentorship in troubleshooting and resolving server-side issues.
