Responsibilities
- Serves as the main point of contact for keeping warehouse spaces tidy and clear of waste materials
- Regularly clears debris and clutter from warehouse zones
- Empties waste bins across the distribution center as needed and ensures containers are clean and accessible
- Uses material handling machinery to move cardboard, plastic film, and other waste to designated balers or compactors
- Safely and efficiently operates trash compactors and cardboard balers to support warehouse cleanliness targets
- Keeps parking lots and shipping/receiving zones free of litter and debris
- Routinely operates floor sweepers and scrubbers to maintain clean warehouse flooring
- Follows company protocols to contribute to recycling targets and environmental sustainability goals
- Distributes and collects scanning devices for production staff according to established procedures
- Encourages and upholds safe workplace practices
- Completes minor maintenance tasks as directed by supervisors
- Performs additional duties as assigned to support operational needs

- Empty trash containers throughout distribution warehouse as needed; maintains containers in neat, clean and available condition
- Operates material handling equipment to transfer cardboard, plastic wrap, and other debris to the appropriate baler or trash compactor for disposal
- Operates trash and cardboard compactors and balers in a safe and efficient manner as required to meet goals of warehouse cleanliness
- Maintains parking lot, shipping/receiving areas clean and free of debris
- Operates floor sweeper and floor scrubbers on regular basis in warehouse facility
- Carries out assigned duties in a manner to meet company's recycling goals and objectives; supports 'green' initiatives
- Distributes and collects scanners as required by production associates following the proper scanner procedure
- Promotes a safe work environment
- Performs minor maintenance department tasks as assigned by manager or supervisor
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs
