About the Role
This role leads a key engineering team responsible for KYC, AML, anti-fraud, and regulatory compliance systems that enable legal betting operations across licensed markets. The position combines hands-on technical leadership with team development and cross-functional collaboration in a high-impact environment.
Responsibilities
- Guide the engineering team by defining technical vision, code quality standards, and architectural principles
- Conduct educational code reviews that improve team capabilities
- Mentor and advance the technical skills of team members
- Remain actively involved in coding, system design, and solving complex technical challenges
- Design and implement reliable services for processing real-time event streams
- Build systems that maintain safety and integrity under regulatory audits
- Ensure seamless integration with external third-party services
- Lead the development and execution of the team's technical roadmap
- Make strategic decisions on code refactoring, rewrites, and prioritization of engineering efforts
- Collaborate with Product, DevOps, Data, and Compliance/Legal teams across the organization
- Participate in on-call duties according to company policy
