Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the backend engineering team through effective planning, code reviews, mentorship, and performance evaluations
- Establish and maintain the long-term technical vision for the backend platform, ensuring high reliability, scalability, and performance
- Design and enhance the AI orchestration layer to manage multiple AI models and providers, improving output quality, speed, and cost efficiency
- Take ownership of the AI Gateway's development, the central system enabling text, image, voice, avatar, and video generation
- Scale backend infrastructure and services to meet growing product demands and increasing usage loads
- Enforce strong engineering practices across code quality, security, monitoring, and system reliability
- Drive key AI projects including a custom RAG pipeline, MCP integrations, and AI agent functionality
- Work closely with frontend, mobile, QA, AI, and DevOps teams to deliver aligned, business-focused solutions
- Collaborate with the Principal Engineer on infrastructure capacity planning and cost optimization strategies
