About the Role
The engineer will build and maintain core components of a risk decisioning platform, focusing on scalability, performance, and integration with data-intensive services.
Responsibilities
- Develop backend services to support real-time risk evaluation
- Design APIs for internal and external consumption
- Collaborate with data science teams to integrate risk models
- Optimize system performance under high throughput
- Ensure reliability and uptime of critical risk infrastructure
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
- Participate in code reviews and system design discussions
- Contribute to database schema and query optimization
- Implement monitoring and alerting for system health
- Work closely with product managers to define requirements
- Support deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes
- Maintain security and compliance standards
- Scale systems to handle growing transaction volumes
- Evaluate new technologies for system improvements
- Document architecture and operational procedures
- Assist in incident response and post-mortems
- Integrate with third-party data sources
- Ensure low-latency responses in distributed systems
- Manage configuration and feature flag systems
- Improve observability across microservices
- Refactor legacy components for better maintainability
- Support audit and logging requirements
- Collaborate across engineering teams on cross-functional initiatives
- Drive best practices in software development
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in computer science or related field
