Jobgether is hiring a Backend Engineer to develop and maintain high-performance, large-scale backend systems supporting millions of users daily. In this remote role based in India, you will design and implement microservices in a distributed environment, collaborating with product owners and engineers to deliver new features and ensure system reliability.

What You'll Do

Develop and maintain highly-scalable backend services for millions of users.
Implement microservices architecture with REST APIs, message queues, and cloud-native technologies.
Collaborate with product owners and development teams to define and implement new features and user stories.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to design standards and best practices.
Diagnose and resolve production issues to maintain high system uptime and reliability.
Mentor junior engineers and support team knowledge sharing.
Participate in all agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, grooming, demos, and retrospectives.
Potential on-call responsibilities depending on team needs and tenure.

What We're Looking For

Minimum 3+ years of relevant backend development experience.
Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming principles.
Solid understanding of microservices architecture and designing highly transactional systems.
Proficient in SQL, database technologies (MySQL, MongoDB), caching (Redis, Elasticsearch), and message queues (RocketMQ, RabbitMQ).
Hands-on experience with containerization and cloud technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
Familiarity with monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and AWS CloudWatch.
Strong problem-solving skills, independent work ethic, and excellent English communication skills.
Advanced knowledge of software qualities such as resiliency, maintainability, and modern testing techniques.
