Redcare Pharmacy is looking for a Backend Engineer to join a cross-functional team building performant and scalable web applications used by millions across Europe. You will be a key player in shaping features end-to-end, from early discovery and ideation through to delivery and rollout.

What You'll Do

Develop core features across our shop, turning complex needs into seamless, personalized, and trustworthy shopping experiences.
Develop features on the webshop, based on Next.js.
Extend and create new backend services across various domains that interact with internal and external applications.
Create and consume API endpoints based on defined contracts.
Collaborate with RabbitMQ to ensure scalable, asynchronous communication between services.
Work on new features designed for high performance and scalability.
Embrace an open feedback culture and engage in open communication within the team.

What We're Looking For

You understand that seniority is defined by the ability to make a genuine impact, be proactive, and take ownership.
You enjoy designing and building new features from scratch, and you own your code end-to-end, including building, testing, and deployment.
You have experience building services at scale with Node.js and TypeScript.
You demonstrate proficiency with REST APIs and a solid understanding of HTTP.
You possess a DevOps mindset, including the use of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipeline setup.
You’re comfortable collaborating with non-technical stakeholders, helping align tech and product priorities.
You have a team-player first mindset and enjoy working closely with others. You are a proactive communicator.
