Zup Innovation is hiring a Senior Backend Developer with deep expertise in Python and Artificial Intelligence to build scalable, resilient, and secure cloud solutions. You will join a team responsible for developing critical backend services, APIs, and integrations that support high-priority business products, while collaborating on evolving modern architectures that integrate data, automation, and AI-based applications.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain scalable and resilient backend services using Python.
- Design and implement secure, high-performance RESTful APIs for integration with internal and partner systems.
- Build integrations and solutions using services from the AWS ecosystem.
- Contribute to building platforms and services that support Artificial Intelligence and data applications.
- Create and evolve CI/CD pipelines, ensuring quality and automation in the delivery cycle.
- Implement solutions based on event-driven architecture and microservices.
- Conduct code reviews, proposing improvements to architecture, quality, and development standards.
- Investigate and resolve complex incidents, working alongside other squads and technical areas.
- Contribute to the evolution of observability, reliability, and security practices for applications.
What We're Looking For
- Solid experience in Python for backend development.
- Experience integrating applications with Artificial Intelligence models.
- Experience developing scalable and secure RESTful APIs.
- Experience with AWS cloud, especially with services like Lambda, ECS, S3, API Gateway, SQS/SNS/EventBridge, CloudWatch.
- Experience with microservices or event-based architecture.
- Experience with containers (Docker) and execution in cloud environments.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices, testing, and observability.
- Experience working in distributed environments and high-criticality systems.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Python data libraries like Pandas, NumPy, or similar.
- Knowledge of data platforms or AI services in cloud environments.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
- Experience with advanced observability (structured logs, metrics, and tracing).
- Experience with large-scale event-driven architectures.
- Experience in highly regulated environments or mission-critical systems.
