Lodestar is hiring an Avionics FPGA Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Create and validate RTL designs in SystemVerilog or Verilog for FPGA and SoC platforms.
  • Initialize and integrate high-speed SerDes and memory interfaces.
  • Build testbenches and implement formal verification methods to confirm functional correctness at module and system levels.
  • Perform hardware debugging and execute system-level tests using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and lab equipment.
  • Work closely with systems, avionics software, and hardware engineers to ensure smooth integration of RTL into flight systems.
  • Support the creation of design documentation, test plans, review evidence, and participate in environmental qualification testing including EMC, vibration, and thermal vacuum.
