Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring an Automation Tester to lead testing efforts for critical software solutions supporting a federal agency. You will design and execute automated and manual tests to ensure high levels of quality, functionality, and performance.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Cypress, Playwright, and JIRA.
- Analyze requirements to create detailed test cases and scenarios for functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate testing into continuous delivery pipelines.
- Perform manual testing as needed and validate code changes using GitHub workflows.
- Maintain and improve test automation frameworks and supporting documentation.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging testing tools, techniques, and industry best practices.
- Take on additional responsibilities to support team goals and project success.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in automation testing.
- Proficiency with Cypress, Playwright, JIRA, Jenkins, and version control tools like GitHub.
- Strong scripting skills in Java or Python and working knowledge of SQL.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience working in SAFe/Agile environments and familiarity with DevSecOps practices.
- Ability to obtain government clearance is required.
Nice to Have
- Experience with federal agencies such as the Department of Veterans Affairs is a plus.
