Responsibilities
- Collaborates early in the project phase with the SAP on the defined Electrical Safe Systems of Work Procedure.
- Conducts structured mentoring sessions and workshops with testing and commissioning technicians according to an approved Commissioning plan.
- Ensures all site personnel understand and follow the Electrical Safe Systems of Work guidelines.
- Issues and manages permits for all energised work activities within the project scope as defined by the SAP.
- Attends daily testing and commissioning coordination meetings as needed.
- Reviews and interprets project specifications and drawings to identify specific electrical requirements.
- Follows strict operational protocols and complies with all applicable electrical safety regulations.
- Analyzes and interprets basic electrical protection behavior during fault scenarios.
- Manages safety documentation and lockout/tagout procedures in accordance with established policies.
- Reviews switchgear distribution layout and control systems before system startup.
- Participates in daily project progress and lookahead planning meetings.
- Collaborates with specialist testing and commissioning contractors to review and align on test sequences and scripts.
- Coordinates with control system vendors (SCADA/BMS/EMS) during system handover under permit-controlled protocols.
- Supports initial equipment startup and energization in compliance with approved LV electrical safety plans.
- Observes and coordinates specific tests, ensuring full regulatory and project documentation compliance.
- Ensures required personnel witness all pre- and post-energisation testing and commissioning activities and formally sign off acceptance.
- Verifies availability and calibration status of all necessary test equipment.
- Proactively maintains information security and adheres fully to the organization's Information Security Management System (ISMS).
