Responsibilities
- Survey and analyze suppliers of priority commodities for low- and middle-income countries, including building relationships with new and existing suppliers and distributors, performing due diligence, and assessing market share, pricing, product development timelines, regulatory approvals, manufacturing capacity, and access strategies to find ways to improve affordability, availability, and sustainability of essential commodities in these regions.
- Create demand forecasts and adoption models for both new and existing commodities to guide access pricing strategies and supplier negotiations.
- Conduct cost and impact analyses for new financing, procurement, and distribution models, such as all-inclusive pricing, equipment leasing, pooled procurement, and tender optimization.
- Analyze country-level introduction and scale-up needs, including costs, budget impact, and financing options, to assist government adoption decisions and readiness planning.
- Prepare presentations, reports, investment cases, and other analyses to shape global policy and strengthen the evidence base for interventions; present findings to internal and external audiences.
- Work with internal teams, including country, program, and cross-functional groups, as well as external partners like donors, governments, suppliers, and global organizations, to support the design and execution of supply- and demand-side interventions.
- Develop market analysis frameworks, tools, and templates, and act as a market analytics resource across multiple projects within the Market Shaping Team.
- Support business development by contributing to proposal writing and donor engagement.
- Maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders within the organization and partner organizations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the team.
