Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and on-demand data analyses on key brands to generate actionable insights that guide market access planning using analytics, customer behavior, and business context.
- Collaborate with U.S. Market Access commercial leaders to develop forward-thinking pricing and contracting approaches that secure favorable payer formulary placement and enhance net sales performance.
- Analyze healthcare claims to uncover market trends influencing brand demand and construct predictive models to assess risks, opportunities, and scenario sensitivities.
- Apply a solid grasp of the U.S. healthcare system and relevant therapeutic areas to proactively detect and respond to market opportunities and challenges.
- Foster strong working relationships with internal U.S. Market Access Sales and Marketing teams to ensure alignment and shared objectives.
- Integrate analytical findings with brand insight partners, combining them with HCP and consumer insights to improve strategic brand decisions.
- Use data modeling to deliver analytics supporting contracting strategies with GPOs, specialty pharmacies, health plans, and PBMs, including narrative summaries of negotiation risks and opportunities, and financial forecasts based on launch pricing and contracts.
- Provide targeted analytical insights in response to emerging market access trends or challenges affecting specific brands.
- Evaluate how utilization controls, drug tier placement, and medical policies affect patient demand, treatment sequencing, and co-pay program effectiveness.
- Perform in-depth analytical investigations to confirm or measure the impact of competitor actions or customer strategies.
- Use quantitative analysis to pinpoint value drivers that inform clinical development priorities and value messaging strategies.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of syndicated datasets, proprietary data assets, data science methods, and modeling techniques, translating findings into clear, persuasive narratives.
- Under supervision, manage external vendors and internal stakeholders to execute analytics projects, derive meaningful insights, and apply appropriate analytical methods to address business questions.
- Communicate market access findings effectively to senior leadership, ensuring data insights inform strategic decisions.

- Identify through claims analysis market dynamics that shape brand demand and build models to portray risks, opportunities, and sensitivities.
- Demonstrate foundational understanding of the U.S. healthcare landscape and key AbbVie therapeutic areas to identify and proactively address opportunities and threats.
- Build collaborative relationships with internal U.S. Market Access Sales and Marketing stakeholders.
- Align insights to Brand insight partners, that when integrated with HCP and Consumer insights, positively impacts brand decision making.
- Delivering analytics to inform GPO, Specialty Pharmacy, Health Plan and PBM contracting strategies for launch brands across payer channels through data modelling techniques, conveying analytical narratives that describe the opportunity and risks of stakeholder negotiations, and informing financial projections based on launch pricing and contracting strategies.
- Delivering brand specific market access analytical insights in response to specific market access issues / trends.
- Understanding the impact of utilization management, tiering and medical policy impact on overall demand, line of therapy and co-pay support.
- Conducting investigative analytics to validate and/ or quantify market phenomenon related to competitive or customer tactics.
- Identifying through quantitative methods, value drivers that guide clinical data development and value positioning.
- Demonstrate a foundational understanding of syndicated and AbbVie proprietary data, data science and modeling techniques and the ability to synthesize insights into compelling narratives.
- Under guidance, is proficient at supplier and stakeholder management, executing external analytics to deliver compelling learnings, and executing analytical strategies appropriate for the issue at hand.
- Responsible for effective communication of market access analytical insights to leadership.
